Fox Sports GO is a TV app that's a bit like others you might have seen: based on your own cable lineup, it can provide you with mobile access to Fox's bevy of sports programming. It thus provides a huge variety of hugely popular programming, from NBA to NHL to NASCAR and college football games. AS for how the app itself stacks up, in features, video playback, and more? Read on...
Programming-Packed But Feature-Free
As the above implies, Fox Sports GO provides programming from a significant variety of channels, from FS2 to Fox Sports Regional Network. Though there are a few league restrictions on the programming Fox can provide on phones, Fox Sports GO offers more-or-less everything that Fox can (as long as your cable provider does the same). That said, the app's news features and other frills are weak bordering on non-existent: even the information to be found on the shows themselves is quite lacking.
Fast, But Not Furious
That said, this is an app that lets you watch NASCAR, and compared to other television apps that you might have used, this one doesn't crash. In our testing playback was very smooth and all areas of the app were stable, start to finish, on multiple devices. It's just a shame that the app doesn't do that much, but if all you're looking to do is watch sports on the go, this app is perfect.
